Architecture Saturdays, a new initiative for the 12th Architecture Biennale, consists of a series of topical discussions chaired by past directors of the Biennale. The series will bring together some of the most exciting names in design and architecture and cover a wide range of the most important aspects relating to architecture today.

Running fortnightly from the 11th September, topics so far discussed include x-Everything is Architexture - Alles ist Architektur - from SeXtreme - to eXhibition - to eXit, a multi-leveled discussion on architecture put to a panel by Austrian architect Hans Hollein, who directed the 1996 Exhibition, and The Client and Her Architects a discussion led by Deyan Sudjic, Director of London's Design Museum.

Canadian architect Kurt Foster, Director of the 9th Biennale, will chair the next discussion in the series on 16 October. Life After Metamorph: The Last Six Years of Architecture, will explore developments in the industry since his exhibition, Metamorph, in 2004.
