Now in its 41st year, Art Basel, which runs from 16 to 20 June 2010, remains one of the world's most significant international fairs for Modern and contemporary art. The 2010 show features nearly 300 leading galleries from North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa and more than 2,500 artists, ranging from the great masters of modern art to the latest generation of emerging stars.
To mark the launch of Creamier - Phaidon’s up-to-the-minute global survey of today’s most significant emerging artists - Craig Garrett, Commissioning Editor for Contemporary Art at Phaidon Press, will be at Art Basel discussing current issues in contemporary art with one of the artists included in the book, Spartacus Chetwynd, and two of its curators, Chus Martinez, Chief Curator at the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona, and Adam Szymczyk, Director of the Kunsthalle Basel.
The discussion will take place in Hall 1, Auditorium, on Thursday 17 June at 6pm.
