album is the first solo exhibition devoted to the work of French designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec to be held in their native country. Kicking off the 2011 programme at the arc en rêve centre d'architecture in Bordeaux, the exhibition (which will run until 17 March) presents a panorama of the activity of their workshop through a trove of images that document every stage of their design processes.

The works are all presented without hierachy, with sketches and preparatory drawings framed and displayed in exactly the same way as photographs of the finished product, and cover the full range of the Bouroullec brothers' work, from industrial projects to architectural designs. The show also offers a behind-the-scenes look at the works that might have been: an entire wall has been devoted to over a hundred drawings of chairs that have never been made.
