Meet us at the Food Book Fair

This month we're coming to Brooklyn for a few days of food, writing, reading, and fun

New York’s third annual Food Book Fair comes to Brooklyn’s Wythe Hotel on April 25-27. This year, the event will feature a homebrew pub, a foodbook slam, and a pop-up farm for kids, as well as lots of talks, symposiums, dinners and author events.

In fact, we’re getting things started a little bit early, with a pop-up bookstore in the Whyte Hotel lobby, which opens tomorrow, Friday 18 April. The wonderful Word Bookstores, a great local, independent set of shops, will be co-hosting this with us, and the shelves will feature lots of our new culinary titles, including elBullli 2005-2011, Eating with the Chefs and Thailand: The Cookbook.

What’s more, our publisher Emilia Terragni will join Phaidon contributor and Lucky Peach editor, Peter Meehan, Alex Grossman the creative director of Bon Appétit, and Anne E. McBride, director of the Experimental Cuisine Collective, to discuss, among other things, whether cookbooks are meant to beautiful, functional or both.

This talk takes place on Saturday, April 26, 12:30- 1:30 pm. For tickets go here. To find out more about the fair go here, and to browse through the books likely to be in our store, click here.
