Forget your watch? Why not take a trip to White Cube Gallery, where Christian Marclay's film installation montage, The Clock, is keeping a time check. Constructed from moments in films where a clock is displayed, the movie plays in real time for a full 24 hours. The work is an exciting development for Marclay, who is well known for collage pieces which have previously included music, paper and most recently, video
Although the time on screen is consistently chronological, the range of film narratives is vast - time unravels in countless directions at once. The nature of being able to watch a film in real time, however, is reportedly 'totally engrossing'. But hurry, White Cube are calling time on the installation this Saturday, at 6pm.
