A bouquet garni can be varied to taste, but almost always includes a bay leaf, some parsley stalks and thyme, but can also feature many other sturdier herbs.
Method
A bouquet garni is a bunch of herbs tied together or gathered in a muslin bag and used to flavour soups and stews.
Bouquet garni are removed before serving.
